Before every shoot I like to have a chat with the parents to find out what colours, props or poses they would like. I often ask them to look though my work and forward me some images they love, giving me a good idea of what colours, props etc to set up before they arrive. Rudy and Lochlan's Mum said she loved dark colours, greys and black. Not my usual request but I loved the challenge. I didn't have any black props but luckily Bianca said she had some black hats which she brought. So off I went and picked out my dark coloured props ready for Rudy and Lochlans Newborn and Sibling photoshoot. Big brother Rudy was a super star, we had a lot of fun together and he seemed to find me funny, which always helps capturing those smiles. Rudy has one of those endearing smiles you can't help but just smile back at. Baby Lochlan was over three weeks old so he had some awake time too which meant we got some with his gorgeous blue eyes but also when he did sleep he went into a lovely deep sleep, he was totally scrumptious, almost making me want another baby.
